Raw data is available at the MG-Rast server (http://metagenomics.anl.gov/) under project 93. Filtering was done to exclude samples with no metadata and species with fewer than 3000 observed read count
Biologic data have been expressed in abundance (numbers or density values (nbr/km²)) and always required to be log-transformed using a log10(x+1) transformation.
