Biocontrol by a native hemiparasite: rapid suppression of noxious invasive plants in a field experiment

This dataset contains vegetation records, treatment metadata, and an R script used for the analysis of a four-year multi-site field experiment conducted in South Moravia, Czech Republic (2020–2023). The experiment tested the effects of the root hemiparasitic plant Melampyrum arvense on two invasive clonal species, Solidago gigantea and Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, under different management regimes (mowing, mowing combined with hemiparasite seed addition, and no management). The dataset includes species cover data, treatment-specific information, host plant traits (height and belowground biomass), and the complete R script for data analysis and visualisation.
