Spatial and Socioenvironmental Dengue Dataset of the Recife Metropolitan Area (2015–2024)

This dataset compiles georeferenced dengue case counts and a broad range of socioenvironmental and spatial variables for the Recife Metropolitan Area, Brazil, covering the period 2015–2024. The data integrate epidemiological notifications of dengue with IBGE administrative divisions, population and housing indicators, income levels, and environmental factors such as vegetation cover, canalized areas, precipitation, and temperature. All layers were harmonized, georeferenced, and standardized using Python (pandas, geopandas) and QGIS, ensuring methodological transparency and reproducibility. This dataset provides a robust foundation for spatial epidemiology, environmental health studies, and data-driven decision-making in public health, enabling multi-year analyses of dengue dynamics and their socioenvironmental determinants.
