The Virgin enthroned with Child. Tree-ring data

The tree-ring data refer to the panel titled The Virgin Enthroned with Child, attributed to the Flemish painter Master of Frankfurt. The panel painting measures 64.2 × 44.5 × ~0.5 cm. The upper part of the painted panel was cleaned with the help of a scalpel, while the growth rings were accentuated with a plaster-and-water paste. Sampling was conducted using a portable dendrochronograph equipped with a high-resolution digital camera. This instrument facilitated the measurement of tree rings in situ and provided a completely noninvasive approach, allowing immediate assessment of sampling quality. Data are in two formats: Heidelberg (.fh) and Tucson (.rwl).
