An open biomechanical dataset of 9 above-knee amputees standing up and sitting down using their prescribed knee-ankle prostheses. Full-body 3D motion capture was performed. The dataset includes the data files and required files/functions from Vicon, Visual 3D, and MATLAB. Some subjects used their hands during some repetitions, and during these repetitions, the torque, power, and COP signals were replaced with NaN in the segmented files. Some subjects had issues with EMG artifacts during some repetitions, and during these repetitions, the specific EMG signals with artifacts were replaced with NaN. Several segmentation options are included - based on the intact-side and prosthesis-side; for stand-up, sit-down, and "full" (stand-up-sit-down); and various levels of "zoom out" from the initial segmentation to include part of the trial before and after the segmented movement. <br><br>The dataset has been used (in part) in two journal articles. The two related articles are linked.<br>The dataset is extensively documented as a Data Descriptor which is currently under review. The Data Descriptor will be linked as soon as it is published.
