Daily average transaction value through the Zengin System in Japan 2017-2023

In 2023, the daily average value of transactions through the Zengin System in Japan amounted to around 14.4 trillion Japanese yen, increasing by 5.1 percent year on year. The Zengin Data Telecommunication System is an interbank payment clearing network for domestic funds transfers that started operating in 1973. In 2010, the Japanese Banks' Payment Clearing Network (Zengin-Net) was established and took over operations of the Zengin System.
