Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Ford Road, Arundel, July - August 2022

This collection includes text, images, spreadsheets, GIS data, and site records from an archaeological evaluation at Ford Road, Arundel, carried out by Archaeology England Limited between 25 July and 10 August 2022. The evaluation comprised 28 trenches excavated in July and August 2022 on land south of Arundel, West Sussex, ahead of a proposed residential development of 90 dwellings. Excavations revealed that ridge and furrow earthworks had been largely removed by modern ploughing, and that several potential enclosures and ditches were in fact part of a system of modern land drains.
