The WACCM6-SC Model Outputs for the Study 'Dry and Hot Extremes in South and Southeast Asia Regulated by the Arctic Stratospheric Polar Vortex'

The data presented here are the outputs from the R1 (weakening of the Arctic stratospheric polar vortex) and R2 (strengthening of the Arctic stratospheric polar vortex) simulations, conducted using the Specific Chemistry version of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model version 6 (WACCM6-SC). All variables with the prefix dim_* in the files WACCM6-SC_R1-R2_Figure2.nc and WACCM6-SC_R1-R2_Figure3.nc represent the March–April mean differences between the ensemble means of the R1 and R2 simulations. Variables prefixed with t_* indicate the corresponding two-sided Student's t-test statistics for the composite differences. A detailed description of the simulations and methodology is provided in the paper titled "Dry and Hot Extremes in South and Southeast Asia Regulated by the Arctic Stratospheric Polar Vortex".
