Role of MPs in C. jejuni contamination and antibiotic resistance

This study investigates the role of MPs in Campylobacter jejuni contamination and their impact on antibiotic resistance using five C. jejuni isolates from different origin (poultry, water, and human). To comprehensively understand the interactions between MPs and bacteria, whole-genome sequencing was conducted to identify adherence- and biofilm-associated genes, as well as antibiotic resistance genes, and to correlate these findings with the bacteria's capacity for biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance within the biofilm lifestyle.
