RNA-Seq of Cycloclasticus pugetii PS-1 during degradation of low concentrated naphthalene

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon (PAH) are common pollutants, naphthalene (NAP) is a PAH that can be degraded by Cycloclasticus pugetii PS-1. To investigate the transcriptional changes of Cycloclasticus pugetii PS-1 during NAP degradation, C. pugetii was grown in three different conditions in a time course experiment in the presence of NAP. RNA library preparation with Illumina stranded total RNA prep with Ribo-zero Plus and sequencing with NextSeq 500 High Output Kit v2.5 (75 cycles) of 24 samples with ~15mio reads per sample was done at the Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (Tuebingen).
