Data, documentation and SAS program used in the elaboration of the manuscript "Geographical variation in demand, utilization, and outcomes of hospital services for COVID-19 in Brazil: a descriptive serial cross-sectional study", submitted to PLOS One.
The SIVEP-Gripe, a public and open-access database, comprised of prospectively collected data on Severe Acute Respiratory Illness records and maintained by the Brazilian Ministry of Health, were accessed on the website https://opendatasus.saude.gov.br, on April 19, 2021. The COVID-19 case notification data were obtained from the website https://brasil.io/home/ on April 24, 2021.
