Roadway Classifications

The purpose of this file geodatabase feature class is to provide, at a glance for planning purposes, the identification of roadway system functional classification. More specifically to:
1. provide for efficient movement of people and goods;
2. guide integration with the associated land use pattern and responsiveness to growth;
3. direct heavily trafficked routes around residential neighborhoods;
4. disperse traffic through an interconnected roadway network;
5. direct interconnectivity with the regional roadway system;
6. and guide support of a transportation demand management strategy which encourages use of alternative transportation modes.
