Code and data for multi-layer Cartesian cell registration in DSMC on a body-fitted mesh

This record contains the code and supporting data used in the study of multi-layer Cartesian cell registration for DSMC around a circular cylinder. The computational workflow consists of three stages: 1. generation of the body-fitted target mesh, 2. generation of CCR registration data from the target mesh, and 3. DSMC simulation using the precomputed mesh and registration data. The archive includes source files for Stages 1 and 2, selected Stage 3 source files, input files, representative generated mesh/registration files, and processed performance data. The file processed_results/REGs_with_Brute_Force.ods summarizes the computed results for different average numbers of registered target cells per Cartesian cell together with the brute-force reference case. The full Stage 3 solver source is not redistributed in this package because it contains or derives from legacy third-party code for which redistribution rights are not clear.
