This dataset arises from a doctoral research project at Western Sydney University investigating how oral health policy in Australia impacts the psychological and social well-being of people with psychosocial disabilities. The study employs a mixed-methods design, collecting both survey responses and validation interviews from adults with psychosocial disabilities residing in New South Wales. Data focus on experiences of access, equity, and service provision in oral health care, as well as the broader psychological and social implications of oral health policy. Findings are intended to inform policy development, service delivery, and advocacy for improved oral health access for people with psychosocial disabilities.
Dataset Contents
This dataset contains:
- Excel spreadsheets with survey data from approximately 50 participants.
- 6 anonymised interview transcripts.
- Supporting documentation including the Participant Information Sheet, Consent Form,
Recruitment Flyer, and Ethics Approval.
The data capture lived experiences of people with psychosocial disabilities regarding oral health services and policies in Australia, with a focus on psychological and social impacts.
