Input and Output data MCTS (Mainz Convective Transport and Scavenging (MCTS version 1.0) – Introduction and Evaluation of the new Column Model for Convection-Chemistry-Interactions)

The zip file contains the input and output data for/from MCTS (Mainz Convective Transport and Scavenging). MCTS is a column model for convective transport and scavenging. MCTS_SEAC4RS_advect contains the input and output for/of the MCTS simulations of a convective event which occurred during the SEAC⁴RS mission. The input data is based on WRF-Chem simulations by Cuchiarar et al. (2020) and DC8 aircraft observations from the SEAC4RS field mission (Toon et al. 2014). Further trace gas input was derived from EMAC simulations (Jöckel et al. 2016). The output folder within MCTS_SEAC4RS_advect contains the output of the 10 and 30 min MCTS simulations for the standard setup as well as for two sensitivity simulations in which the turbulent entrainment and detrainment and the dissociation scaling factors were altered. MCTS_with_EMAC contains the input and output for/from MCTS simulations at a typical EMAC grid box. The input data was derived via EMAC.
