Biomass-Density data of biodiverse plant community in Caparica, Portugal

The biomass (gDW/m2) and density (individuals/m2) was estimated for 132 replicates from 3 plots in Caparica, Portugal. A total of 17089 individuals from 46 taxa were counted and identified during the monitoring experiment. Each individual was taxonomically identified, with the biomass and density being estimated for each taxon. Additionally, are provided the dplant distance to the plant Interspecific Boundary Line (IBL) (Scrosati 2000), as well as the Simpson D and Shannon-Weiner H biodiversity indexes. The latter have an estimation based on counts of individuals and another based on biomass.
