Samples from fire-cracked rock features at three sites (24GA101, 241C237
and 24IC1064) in western Montana were examined for pollen, starch, and
macrofloral remains. These sites represent a wide range of occupations from 770
to 3530 BP, and have been affected by fluctuating water levels caused by dams.
Pollen, starch, and macrofloral analysis at these sites will help identify
subsistence activities.
