Seismic Dataset for Vertical Crack Characterization in Concrete Using Impact Actuator

This dataset supports the validation of the linear impact actuator as a controlled seismic source and its application for characterizing vertical cracks in concrete structures at different depths. It consists of three main sections: (1) source validation data obtained using various brass adapters and tip types, (2) measurements from a concrete slab with embedded vertical cracks at depths of 6 cm, 12 cm, and 18 cm. The data were used to generate dispersion curves and to estimate the quality factor (Q), and (3) MATLAB scripts for post-processing, including bootstrap_for_Q_factor.m, are also provided.
