Streptomyces sp. strain HO565 genome project

Streptomyces sp. strain HO565. This strain has high peroxidase activity. This strain was isolated from soil. A highly active bacterium that we discovered based on the activity of decolorizing humic acid. Humic acids are the organic substances that coagulate when the strong-base extract is acidified while fulvic acids are the organic substances that remain soluble when the strong-base extract is acidified. The genomic DNA of this bacterium was purified using a kit: Monofas gDNA Bacteria extraction kit VII. The draft genome of this bacterium was deciphered by Illumina's MySeq system. The purpose of this study is to decipher the genome of Streptomyces sp. strain HO565 and identify the gene of the enzyme having the desired activity.
