SAFARI 2000 Wet and Dry Season Hemispherical Photography and Associated PAI Estimates

The data were collected during the Feruary/March 2000 wet season and Septemter 2000 dry season field campaigns of SAFARI 2000.?? The wet season campaign had field sites in Mongu (Zambia), Pandematenga (Kasane - Botswana), Maun (Botswana), Okwa (Botswana) and Tshane (Botswana). Hemispherical photographs, from which estimates of Plant Area Index (PAI) were derived, are utilized to characterize vegetation structural changes along the Kalahari Transect. Only data from Mongu, Kasane and Tshane have been processed from the wet season campaign. The dry season data are for Mongu only. See: "http://www.geog.ucl.ac.uk/"
