The health-related implications of plastic pollution have been relatively overlooked despite the growing number of studies that have focused on the ecological impacts of plastic pollution. In this study, we investigated the effect of contamination with polyethylene microplastic on the microbiological, physical, and biochemical properties of the hydrothermal vent crab Xenograpsus testudinatus.
