Nd isotope data of the Middle Miocene (Badenian and Sarmatian) carbonates of the Fore-Carpathian Basin (Poland, Ukraine)

The dataset includes Nd isotope signatures measured in calcitic shell material and calcitic micrite from the Middle Miocene deposits of the Fore-Carpathian Basin in Poland and Ukraine. Carbonate samples have been dissolved; neodymium and samarium were isolated using column chromatography and analysed by a multi-collector mass spectrometer (TIMS). The signatures reveal a wide variation in the composition of seawater in the Fore-Carpathian Basin and its evolution over time.
