RNA-seq analysis of steady-state hepatic stllate cells and activated fibroblasts isolated from distinct liver fibrosis models; Western diet–induced NASH and carbon tetrachrolide–induced liver fibrosis. RNA was subjected to RNA-seq to identify differentially expressed gene profiles. RNA-seq was done to analyze transcriptome of activated fibroblasts from NASH livers, and understand how activated fibroblasts contribute to the progression from NASH to HCC.
