Dual role of FOXG1 in regulating gliogenesis in the developing neocortex via the FGF signalling pathway.

Transcriptomic analysis of cells with progenitor-specific and postmitotic neuron-specific Foxg1 loss of function. Progenitor-specific Foxg1 LOF: Mutant progenitors were FACS purified from hGFAPCreERT2 brains at E17.5, which were administered Tamoxifen at E15.5. Corresponding controls were obtained from FACS-purified FlashTag positive cells at E17.5, labelled at E15.5. Postmitotic neuron-specific Foxg1 LOF: Mutant cells were isolated from P1 NexCre/+; Foxg1lox/lox, FRT/FRT cortical plate. Corresponding control cells were isolated from littermates with the genotype Foxg1 lox/lox; FRT/FRT at P1.
