On 30/10/2020 at 11:51 UTC a strong earthquake struck between the Turkish coast and the Greek island of Samos. The earthquake destroyed several buildings in Turkey's western Izmir province with people trapped under the debris in at least five sites. The United States Geological Survey put the quake's magnitude at 7.0.<br>
