Comparative genomic analysis of colonizing Streptococcus agalactiae isolates in the context of antibiotic treatment and human pregnancy.

This project aims to compare the genomes of Streptococcus agalactiae isolates colonizing human vaginal tracts before (prenatal) and after (postpartum) childbirth to determine the impact of antibiotic treatment during labor on the evolution and pathogenesis of this important pathogen that causes newborn infections and other pregnancy complications.
