In 2022, a population comprising 240 individual rice genotypes from the PRAY indica panel (http://ricephenonetwork.irri.org/), selected to represent the diversity of the Indica species, was chosen for cultivation in optimal conditions in CIRAD's Abiophen growing chambers subjected to an elevated concentration of carbon dioxide during all cycle (700 µmol mol <sup>-1</sup>). The analysis were conducted during the crucial grain-filling phase at 15 days after heading on the flag leaf, and between 6 and 9 hours after dawn. Gas exchange measurements were performed in the middle part of the length of the flag leaf on the main culm when plants reached 2 weeks after heading, using two LI-6800 Portable Photosynthesis Systems (LI-COR Biosciences Inc., Lincoln, NE) that were equipped with 6800-01A leaf chamber fluorometers and 6 cm2 apertures. Due to the large measurements to performed, we use the dynamic assimilation technique. The primary objective of this research is to bring a comprehensive understanding into the correlations between NIRS data, leaf sugar concentration, and leaf photosynthetic traits in order to better predict eCO2 acclimation on rice.
