Microcurrent-stimulation often uses wound healing, its effect on macrophages cells is unknown. This study analysed the mechanism of action of MCS, focusing on the circadian clock mechanism and phagocytic capacity of macrophages. Overall design: Differences in gene expression in macrophages at zeitgeber time (ZT) 2 or 14, with and without microcurrent-stimulation were measured.
