Hydrometeorological warnings

The dataset shall contain data on warnings for hazardous hydrometeorological conditions. When forecasting dangerous hydrometeorological conditions, LVĢMC synoptics or hydrologists prepare warnings for potentially affected areas. The warning shall contain information on the phenomenon, the area, the estimated time and duration of the onset of the phenomenon, an impact assessment and guidance for action. The dataset is published by local (Latvian) time. Users should note that warnings are being prepared for the capital Riga separately, despite the fact that the territory of the city of Riga is also included in the general warning for Latvia or a separate region thereof, such as “Vidzeme”. These warnings define when exactly the hydrometeorological phenomenon determined in Riga will begin and end, and what its intensity will be. The dataset consists of four subsets: List of districts, alert metadata, alert districts and alert landfills. The dataset is intended to be used in a machine-readable format.
