MarineBasis Nuuk - Water column - Nitrate+Nitrite (NOx) concentration

MarineBasis-Nuuk has been conducting year-round monthly hydrographic water column measurements at the standard monitoring station (GF3) since october 2005. Water samples are collected using a Niskin bottle with manual closing system using a weight (messenger). Sampling depth is represented by length of sampling wire out measured using a meter-wheel (not calibrated by depth sensor). Water column:Water column MarineBasis Nuuk:The MarineBasis programme collects physical, chemical and biological data from the Greenland coastal zone. Work is focused around three fjord systems, all influenced by glaciers connected to the Greenland Ice Sheet.
