Citizen participation - Consultations Embellishing your Neighbourhood - Phases 1 and 2

To transform the spaces of your daily life, Paris initiated in 2021 "Embellishing your neighborhood", with the key to more greening, pedestrian areas, bike paths, or urban furniture adapted to new uses. It is up to you to decide on useful and priority interventions to make your neighbourhood or street a more pleasant, accessible and breathable place. This strategy is articulated with the Manifesto for Beauty, the new doctrine of public space planning. The ‘Enhance your neighbourhood’ (EVQ) approach makes it possible to focus all the transformations of a neighbourhood on the same period and to better organise the work on the streets of Paris. How does it work? 1/ Implementation of a public consultation by the district councils and an online public consultation so that the inhabitants of these districts give their opinion on the works to be carried out (vegetalisation, bicycle paths, accessibility, traffic plan, pedestrianisation, etc.) 2/ Draw up an investment plan for the work voted on 3/ Proposal of a work schedule for grouped works. The consultation was launched in 17 neighbourhoods during the first half of 2021 and nine neighbourhoods participated in the 2022 edition of Embellir votre quartier.
