In this study the transcriptome of a chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line has been sequenced using the Illumina mRNAseq protocol. Cells which were treated with two different concentrations (0.5mM and 1.0mM) of sodium butyrate on day 4.5 of the experiment were compared to a control group which were grown without butyrate addition on day 4.5. mRNA samples were taken on day 0, day 6 and day 8 of the study.
