Model data of CESM for the late Oligocene-early Miocene

This repository includes the simulated data of 6 modeling experiments conducted by CESM. They are designed to explore the influence of Asian topogarphic changes on the East Asian precipiation, including the uplift of the northern Tibetan Plateau, the Qinling-Taihang Mountains building, and the collapse of the Cathaysian Coastal Mountains. Experiment Name Paleogeography setup CON A proto-TP and a mountain range at coastal region of South China were set NTP Based on CON, the northern TP was uplifted QT Based on CON, The Qinling-Taihang Mountains are added with the maximum altitude set to ~2 km CM Based on CON, the Cathaysian Coastal Mountains are removed QTCM Based on CON, the Qinling-Taihang mountains are added, while the Cathaysian Coastal Mountains are removed ALL Based on CON, all topography of the northern TP, then Qinling-Taihang mountains, and the Cathaysian Coastal Mountains are changed
