This dataset contains the Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulation data associated with the paper “Evolution of Contact and Particle Fabric for Granular Materials Considering Aspect Ratio and Roughness”. The DEM simulations were conducted to investigate the combined evolution of particle orientation fabric and contact normal fabric in granular materials with different particle aspect ratios and interparticle friction coefficients.The DEM study is based on the experimental program described in the associated manuscript, where X-ray CT-aided triaxial compression tests were performed on granular materials with different particle aspect ratios and surface roughness conditions.
