Citation Map Parliamentary Amendments

This dataset presents the results of a systematic mapping review of academic literature on parliamentary amendments in Brazil. Parliamentary amendments, or emendas parlamentares, are a central mechanism in the Brazilian budgetary process, allowing legislators to directly allocate public resources. Over the past decades, these amendments have become an important subject of study in political science, economics, and public administration, particularly concerning their distributive effects, accountability implications, and impact on public policy outcomes. The mapping review was conducted through a citation-based analysis using data from the Web of Science. The dataset provides a structured overview of the main publications, citation networks, and thematic trends in the field. The objective is to consolidate the existing research, identify gaps, and facilitate future studies on the political economy of budgetary amendments. Contents: A citation matrix of the literature on parliamentary amendments in Brazil. Information on publication years, authors, journals, and citation relations. Thematic categorization of the literature, based on recurring analytical approaches.
