资源简介:
The genus Geranium is a main taxonomic group of Geraniaceae, and 428 species are currently accepted. In particular, East Asia is an important region of Geranium species diversity, i.e., 50 species occur in China and its peripheral areas. Among these, 13 species occur in the Japanese Archipelago. Because they grow in several habitats (e.g., semi-natural grassland, grassy area in mountain, and alpine area), the plants are suitable for evaluate phylogenetic and phylogeographic history of East Asian flora. Previous studies had revealed phylogenetic and phylogeographic history of some Geranium in the Japanese Archipelago (e.g., G. soboliferum, G. yesoense, and G. erianthum). Thus, we newly performed MIG-seq analysis of other Geranium plants to evaluate phylogenetic and phylogeographic history of them.
