Whole genome sequencing of the strain JF5171 of Listeria monocytogenes isolated from bovine abortion. DNA sequencing was carried out using Illumina HiSeq2000 platform at the Institute of Genetics of the University of Bern. We obtained 9 contigs using SOAPdenovo and subsequently PCR and Sanger sequencing. Genome size is 2.93 Mb and GC content 38%. Contigs are ordered according to EGD-e reference genome.
