The hypothesis of the study is whether India could achieve its Renewable energy targets by 2030 or not. The data consists of Total energy consumption, Renewable energy consumption and Renewable energy capacity of India over a period of 58 years (1965 - 2022). The RE Capacity data was derived from REC data using adequate conversion techniques. The results of the study showed that if the current trend of growth rate follows in the future, then reaching the target is quite impossible for India.
