Population grid (1 km) used in Figs. 1A and 3A of the associated article, around the temporary gas turbine fleet in Southaven, Mississippi. Fig. 1A displays cells within 20 km of the fleet. The grid is derived from 2020 Census blocks, Microsoft US Building Footprints (usbuildings-v2) and NLCD 2021. Block population is allocated to buildings larger than 40 m² on NLCD 2021 developed land, excluding industrial facility parcels. Blocks without such buildings use developed land, or the whole block when no developed land is present. Coordinates use EPSG:5070.
