Genome Sequencing project of L. helveticus strains. Lactobacillus helveticus

Lactobacillus helveticus is regarded as a dairy-origin lactobacilli and is used as a starter for several dairy fermentations. The organism is also seen in fermentation of malt whisky. This project aims to study niche specific evolution/adaptation of L. helveticus strains by comparative genomics.
