This is an experimental study with the objective of investigating the role of chia flour associated or not with a high fat diet on the gut microbiota of female ovariectomized Wistar rats. Despite the the effect of chia in the health, it is not understood the effects of the combination of the dietary fibers of the chia flour and their bioactive compounds on gut microbiome of female ovariectomized rats. This study can help to identificate new strategies to improve the gut health based on the chia consumption.
