Root microbiome of field grown seeds of Lolium perenne cv. Trojan

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of varying biogeography on the microbiome of Lolium perenne cv. Trojan. Seeds were collected across different locations on the southern island of New Zealand from the same parental line. The seed microbiomes were assessed by 16S amplicon metagenomics. The second aim was to determine a seed effect on the microbiome by profiling single seeds of L. perenne from cultivars Alto and Trojan.
