Actias dubernardi, the Chinese moon moth, is a Saturniidae species that originates from southern China. With extremely long cercus and gorgeous brilliant colors, Actias dubernardi is viewed as one of the most beautiful moths in the world. Here we present the genome of Actias dubernardi from which we assembled its mitogenome. Combining with other Saturniidae mitogenomes available in the GenBank, we tested the phylogenetic status of this species.
