Processed multichannel seismic data on the Cayman Ridge and Nicaragua Rise, acquired during the R/V Maurice Ewing survey EW9417 (1994)

This 1994 cruise across the Caribbean Sea connected three previous study sites by a network of high-resolution seismic profiles. Dredging of exposed outcrops and piston coring were to provide samples of the older substrata. It served as an ODP site survey for Sites 998 and 1001. The goals were to obtain data on the Caribbean Current for preparation of an ODP drilling program proposal. Funded by NSF grants OCE91-16323 and OCE92-12635.
