Nlrp12-/- mice host a dysbiotic microbiome. After performing bone marrow transplantation study, we found mice receiving Nlrp12-/- haematopoitic cells pheno-copied the dysbiotic microbiome in the Nlrp12-/- mice.

In order to determine which part of cell components cause this microbiome dysbiosis, we transplanted bone marrow cells expressing Nlrp12 or not into wild type and Nlrp12-/- mice, and found mice receiving Nlrp12-/- bone marrow cells developed a dysbiotic microbiome.
