These benthic community abundance and biomass data were collected in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, USA, as part of a Master's thesis ( Hale, Stephen. 1974. The Role of Benthic Communities in the Nutrient Cycles of an Estuary. Graduate School of Oceanography, University of Rhode Island, Narragansett, Rhode Island). Three stations were sampled in November 1973 (5 replicates), March 1974 (3 replicates), and July 1974 (3 replicates). The taxonomy file gives the taxonomy of the species collected.
