The series consists of Birth Registers at the Royal North Shore Hospital. Each booklet contains reports for babies born in that month, including demographic and labour details.The booklets are arranged in chronological order with the month and year on the spine. At the top of each page is the heading Birth Register Report and the date.The registers contain the following information: the mother’s name, birth registration number, unit number, blood group, delivery date, indication for epidural/spinal, maternal medical conditions, sex, weight, length, delivery type, maternal disease, congenital anomalies and the midwife in charge: number, name and signature.
