Drug Use Survey 2022

In the spring of 2022, Statistics Norway (SSB) conducted the tenth round of the annual survey on drugs. The purpose of the survey is to map the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs in different groups of the population. The survey will help form the basis for measures and evaluation of instruments in the field of drugs. The survey is funded by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI). The population is the population of Norway. The sample was drawn from people aged 16–79. Because there is a desire to be able to obtain detailed information about young people, an additional sample of 700 people aged 16–30 was drawn. Interviews were conducted with 52.7 percent of the sample. Arnhild Torsteinsen and Aina Holmøy at the Division for Social surveys have been responsible for conducting the survey. Thore Nafstad-Bakke has drawn the sample and Anne-Kathrine Jernberg has been responsible for programming the questionnaire and preparing the data. Anna-Karin Mevik at the Division for Methods has been responsible for weighting the data.
