Hospital employment in France 2013-2021, by sector

From 2013 to 2021, the size of hospital employment in France remained at around 1.4 million individuals. The biggest employer was, by far, the public hospital sector. Over the last decade, public hospitals in France employed over a million people. During the period analyzed, the number of professionals working for the private sector fluctuated between 300,000 and 314,000 people.
