Dynamism in paintings and photographs: how the power of diagonals in art overcomes the oblique effect in visual perception

This repository contains all data, materials, and analysis code associated with the study "Dynamism in Paintings and Photographs: How the Power of Diagonals in Art Overcomes the Oblique Effect in Visual Perception" by Serena Castellotti, Elvio Blini, Maria Michela Del Viva, and Qasim Zaidi. The repository is organized into three folders, corresponding to the three experiments reported in the manuscript: Experiment 1 – Questionnaire Experiment 2 – Pairwise Comparisons Experiment 3 – Pupillometry Each folder contains the experimental source code, stimuli, raw data, processed datasets, data analysis scripts, and the scripts used to generate the final figures reported in the manuscript. Together, these materials provide all resources required to reproduce the analyses and figures presented in the paper.
